Obama health chief visits L.A. clinic, announces plan to help students
New Federal funding will help Medical students repay their loans in exchange for their work in underserved communities. This program will increase access to care and expand family medicine and primary care providers.
Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, on a visit to Eisner Pediatric and Family Medical Center, announces more than $9 million in funding to help medical students repay school loans if they agree to work in underserved areas.
